San Francisco 

Come to the nexus of the American Artisanal Cheese movement: San Francisco and Marin Counties. We will visit San Francisco’s top cheesemongers, and travel up the magnificent coastline to visit with some of Marin County’s longest- established and also newest cheesemakers and retailers. Opportunity to attend the new Yountsville Cheese Festival organized by Sheana Davis.

This program will involve a great deal of walking. Professionals only.


  • Four days guided visits and discussions (32+ hours)

  • Class size limited to 6; minimum 4 enrollments required for course to be held

  • Tuition, including lodging (double occupancy) & most meals: $3000

  • Cheese School of San Francisco class on the history of American Artisanal Cheese

  • Reception with California Cheese Guild members at The Fork at Point Reyes

  • Yountsville Cheese Festival (dates must coincide, event is held in May).
